John is an environmental biologist who has been a CrossFit trainer on the side for over 10 years. More recently focusing on Weightlifting and Powerlifting, he is a believer in the power of community to motivate people to change their lives for the better.
I found my passion for fitness in my 40s. It started with yoga, then weightlifting, trx, and after resisting CrossFit for years, I now do CrossFit. When I'm not at the gym, I'm with my family (husband, son, cat and dog), I love to knit and read and sew, and I'm a big Chicago sports fan (Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks). Also, I love pizza and margaritas.
